Professor Juan Feliu has been awarded with the prize "Chat N. Reilley" of the "Society for Electroanalytical Chemistry" of the USA The prize is is given in memory of one of the most distinguished analytical chemists of the 20th century and was awarded for the first time in 1984 Allen Bard to a so prestigious scientist like. In the address (http://electroanalytical.org/awards.html) more information can be found on the nature of the prize and of of researchers that have been awarded with this prize from the year 1984 until the present. I think that the Institute has to be very proud that one of his members have been awarded with this recognition. The prize It has been delivered to him on March 2017 during the annual meeting of the "PITTCON" that It has taken place in Chicago.
The "Interfacial reactivity: Model surfaces and tailored shape-controlled nanocatalysts", realised by the doctor Rosa María Arán Ais, was awarded on Friday, 11 November 2016, with the XXIV San Alberto Magno of Investigation in Chemistry 2016 summoned by the Territorial Section of Alicante of the Spanish Royal Society Chemistry (RSEQ).
The act of tribute to late Professor Antonio Aldaz, member and founder of the Institute of Electrochemistry at the University of Alicante took place on 20th July during the delivery of the prize “Antonio Aldaz” to the best doctoral thesis in the field of Electrochemistry that awards the Electrochemistry Group of Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry. In this act, Professor Juan Miguel Feliu glossed Professor Aldaz’s career.
